Dear EMS Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to share that EMS is rolling out Remind school-wide! If you're not already familiar with Remind, it's a classroom communication tool that makes it easy to stay involved with your child's learning. Remind is free to use, and you'll be able to get and send messages on any device—even a simple text message from your phone!
As part of this rollout, official accounts will be created for all the educators, parents, and students at EMS. In the near future, you'll receive an email or text message from Remind. All you need to do is follow the steps in the message to finish setting up your account. Here is a video demo to see how Remind works.
We're excited to make connecting with our families more engaging!
*If you did not receive an email notifying you of your account, it is possible that you do not have an Infinite Campus Parent Account set up. You can do that by clicking HERE. If you have created an account and did not receive a Remind email, please send a message to Neil Burnfin at nburnfin@rockdale.k12.ga.us.
EMS Parents,
Your child uses a software program called Renaissance at school. This program has a special feature called Home Connect, which you and your child can access outside of school from any computer with an Internet Connection. Home Connect allows you to view information about your child's progress in STAR Reading and STAR Math. It also allows you to sign up to receive email notifications after your child completes an activity or assessment at school.
To log in to Home Connect Website (2 options):
1. Click on this link: https://global-zone52.renaissance-go.com/studentprogress/homeconnect?t=48585
a. Enter child's User Name
b. Enter child's Password (Student initials in password must be upper-case)
2. Have your child login to Renaissance through Classlink on their device and then follow the directions on the Parent Directions - Set Up Home Connect Email document to setup your email.
Please see Resources under Quicklinks to the right for more information on Renaissance as well as documents for setting up email notifications.
